What is “YAOI”, Dictionary of Otaku Lingo

YAOI
絶対運命の恋 (角川ルビー文庫)暁を待つまで タクミくんシリーズ (角川ルビー文庫)是-ZE- (9) (ディアプラスコミックス)誘惑の部屋に捕らわれて (角川ルビー文庫)

explanation:
“Yaoi” is a genre of works written about gay men. The readers are mainly women. “Yaoi” is the name of the genre, and does not represent gay men. “Yaoi” is an acronym of “YAma-nashi, Ochi-nashi, Imi-nashi” (meaning; no climax, no punch line, no point), which is a common feature of coterie comics and animations. Recently, also “Boys Love(BL)” that many publishers have begun to use is firmly established. Generally YAOI fans of girls are called “Fujoshi(rotten girls)” and fans of boys are called “Fudanshi(rotten boys)”.
