It is fairly common that the characters’ faces and figures change gradually as the episodes advance and the characters in the latest volume are further different from the vol.1. As for Ika musume, how did she change?
Though now the anime “Ika musume” is very popular, the original manga “Ika musume” has been drawn since May 2007. Finally, the manga “Ika musume” has reached the episode 149. The episode 149 has a color page, in commemoration of the comming episode 150.
(“Kyoumo Yarareyaku” arranges comments of 2ch thread to summery. I pick up interesting comments of them and translate them, arranging them to understandable to foreigner. But it may be not so correct translation.)

Though Ika musume in the old days was drawn like typical moe character the present Ika musume has evolved into character who is likely to appear even in Koro Koro Comic.
