As I introduced before, SHAFT’s new work is magical girl anime. This time it has been announced that the new work “Magical Girl Madoka☆Magica” will start from January 2011! And the leading heroine and the voice actress have been disclosed, too!

“Magical Girl Madoka☆Magica” is made by SHAFT×Ume Aoki×Akiyuki Shinbo×Gen Urobuchi.
SHAFT is a anime production that made “Bakemonogatari“, “Arakawa Under The Bridge“, “Hidamari Sketch” and so on.
Ume Aoki is “Hidamari Sketch“’s author and will be in charge of a character-designer in this project.
Akiyuki Shinbou is a director of “Bakemonogatari“, “Maria Holic“, “Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei” and so on. He will be in charge of a director in this project.
Gen Urobuchi is a scriptwriter of “Phantom PHANTOM OF INFERNO“, “Fate/Zero” and so on. He will be in charge of a scriptwriter in this project.
The name of the leading heroine who has been disclosed this time is Madoka Kaname. Her voice actress is Aoi Yuki (Mina Ţepeş from “Dance in the Vampire Bund“, Toshiko Tatsuno from “Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru“, Noël from “So Ra No Wo To“). In the official website her voice can be listen to now.
